Juan Carlos Fortuño-Fas, Esq.

Managing Partner

Juan Carlos’ experience in creditor’s rights goes back over 25 years with the collection of student and automobile loans in default. Subsequently, he joined attorney Agustín F. Fortuño, bringing to life Fortuño & Fortuño Fas, CSP. Mr. Fortuño possesses skills in the ongoing development of efficient protocols and processes to ensure compliance with loan investor and lender servicing requirements.

He is currently the Managing Partner of the firm, and represents creditors in consumer and commercial claims, administrative law claims on behalf of commercial clients, as well as class action claims.

Lourdes Quintero-Betancourt, Esq.

Attorney at Law

Attorney Quintero has endeavored with the firm since 2006. She has experience representing creditors in the fields of bankruptcy, foreclosure and property law both in the local courts, as well as the U.S. District Court. She currently directs all notary services rendered by the firm, and handles property and mortgage law issues to ensure title registration.

Rebecca Ruiz, Esq.

Attorney at Law

Rebecca possesses specialized knowledge in Puerto Rico’s housing laws and regulations. She assists in all matters related to judicial foreclosure claims before the state and Federal District Court as well as local courts.

Glenda Alicea, Esq.

Attorney at law

Attorney Alicea assists in matters pertaining to judicial claims on behalf of commercial clients, eviction proceedings in landlord-tenant disputes, and Rule 60 consumer collection claims. She also possesses litigation experience in the of defense judicial torts claims.

Juan R. Rivera Font, Esq.

Of counsel

Attorney Rivera Font has an of counsel relationship with the Fortuño team. He has over 15 years of litigation experience before local and federal courts. He provides in-depth, employment law guidance and defense to renowned companies in Puerto Rico as well as ample experience in representing clients before alternative dispute resolution forums. He has litigated extensively on behalf of multinational and domestic companies, including cases involving cross-jurisdictional matters, negotiations with Board of Directors of both public and private entities, and has represented individuals concerning business and shareholder disputes as well as director and officers’ liability (duty of care and loyalty).
